My journey into software development began when I saw how programming and a lifelong learner's mentality helped my father rebuild his life after being diagnosed with Parkinson's. Despite the challenges, he used coding to create his own startup, showing me that knowing how to code is like having infinite Lego blocks—where the only limits are your creativity and determination. It's what ignited my passion for coding and is what drives me to keep on building!

AI-powered static code analysis company. Involved in enhancing the data processing infrastructure that underpins our AI-driven code analysis tool, optimizing our platform for efficient and accurate code analysis.
Worked on scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to handle large-scale data efficiently.
Leveraged distributed and parallel computing libraries and frameworks such as Celery and Dask deployed using Docker and Kubernetes.

Software Engineer Intern / Sep 2023 - Dec 2023

Contribute to the day 2 requirements of branch teller systems, working with the entire tech stack and the full lifecycle of the systems. Assist deployment and continuous improvement as well as enhancing user experience and increasing efficiency.
Utilized BPMN 2.0 with Camunda workflow engine. Main tech stack includes React and Java Spring boot.
Assist in the implementation of a paperless transaction system within DBS branches.

Software Engineer Intern / Aug 2022 - Nov 2022

Developed an AI that categorized and tagged questions provided by our customer base utilizing BERT. This streamlines the customer experience when inputting questions as well as reduces the chance of inaccurate tagging of questions.
Improved an adaptive assessment recommendation system which predicts students’ weakest topics using the LightFM library. System was deployed to be used by 20+ educational institutions across Singapore.

Developed websites in React while working closely with UI/UX Team – www.freshcars.sg and www.orangeexpress.sg (no longer live)

Optimizing the customer service experience leveraging AI voice analytics. Top 8 out of 371 Teams at the UC Berkeley AI Hackathon 2024, with the privilege of pitching our idea at Zellerbach Hall.

CarBuddy

Driven by my personal frustrations while shopping for a used car in the US, I developed a Chrome extension that Instantly analyses the fair value of a vehicle directly within Craigslist listings leveraging Kelley Blue Book (KBB). Find the best deals at a glance, saving you hours.

Kampung.SG

Learning Management System with equipped with a Singlish AI Chat Facilitator built with Google Vertex AI. Made in partnership with Google and Being Bridges.

When I'm not knee-deep in code, you'll find me exploring the great outdoors, whether it's fishing by a quiet lake, hiking up a challenging trail, or satisfying my wanderlust with new travel adventures. Before I became a programmer, I was an artist - getting lost in my creative work whilst pursuing it in school for 4 years. I also had the privilege of leading both my secondary and junior college choir. I've dabbled in entrepreneurship too, launching an EdTech startup and a clothing line. I’m also passionate about education and spend my free time as a part-time tutor.
